Hi folks...it's been a long while since I've hopped on here to see what's cookin' and check out what you all have been up to :-) I see Joe has new monster MC1.25Ks monos and my faith is restored that the deep end of the shark pool is still alive and kicking :D:P

In any case, a friend of mine sent me a link to a NewYorker article by David Denby, who is himself a hobbyist, on the high-end audio space. It's more of an introduction to the space to the casual reader who may be unfamiliar seen through the eyes of an enthusiast who recently went out and checked out some systems. It's a quick fun read and if this has already been posted, I apologize. As I stated, it's been a while since I have dived into the shark pool, so here you go and enjoy: https://www.newyorker.com/culture/c...forever-an-expensive-new-years-shopping-guide

I hope everyone is having a good start to 2018 and happy listening :)

Hey Cyril,, good to see you here mate. Do you still have your Thiels?

Still have them Kev. My system has been static last 8-9 years. That’s sacrilege I know! [emoji23]

I’m an audiophile wannabe [emoji23]

:D :D :D Dunno about the wannabe part. You know as well as anybody you won't replace the magic in those speakers again Cyril, more magic smoke in the wind....
