The Aurender N100H is now available with a 4TB option for $3000 MSRP. The N10 is now available with a 8TB option for $8500.

The A10 will be shipping soon as well ($5500 MSRP).

Jeff - it can be done very easily and can be performed by the dealer or Aurender. The drives are available from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Mome...8&qid=1469625878&sr=8-1&keywords=4TB+2.5+inch

Dealers/Aurender swap out the drives and use special software to then format the drive and apply/copy the proper files.

If you want Aurender to do it, you send the unit to Anaheim, CA paying freight both ways. Ideally, you would want to purchase the drive(s) and have Amazon ship them to Aurender. Aurender than charges a fixed labor fee of ~$500. Dealers may charge $X.

End users are responsible for backing up your library. Dealers/Aurender cannot be responsible for a lost music library.
 
Just in case the Aurender folks monitor this.....
Since the N100H has expanded to 4TB,
I'm hoping the A10 will come with a 4TB option.....
 
Has anyone heard the A10 yet?

Methinks that this has the potential to be a stonking product, especially if one does not need a library bigger than 2TB (or 4TB?).

The innards of the N100, without having to fiddle with USB or ethernet connections - I suppose the data must be transmitted internally via i2S - and A DAC section with overkill (3 transformers - 1 for digital & 2 for the analog sections) power supply.

The big question might be how good the DAC section would be?
 
I had received some different information from Aurender, but then got a second message that apparently they are still sorting out the upgrade price. So.... we shall see....

At this price - aside from the downtime to do the upgrade - seems like a no-brainer to me.

There appears to be some conflicting information. Here is the email I received from Aurender:

If the customer want’s Aurender to do it they need to send their unit to Anaheim, CA paying freight both ways. Ideally, the customer would purchase the drive(s) and have Amazon ship them to Aurender. We have yet to fix a labor change but it would be in the $300-$500 range. You can see that it’s much more cost effective to do it at the dealer level. But then, if you have customers out of state, they may need to have Aurender do the job. Also, remember that the customer is responsible for backing up his library. We cannot be responsible for a lost music library. Additionally, for warranty reasons, I wouldn’t suggest a customer do this themselves.
 
If you're having Aurender do the upgrade (instead of the dealer), then the cost is the cost. Hopefully it's $200 and not $300-500. That difference buys a lot of music. ;)

Got a second note this morning from their customer service dept - that are apparently still sorting this out, so the 100/200 is off the table - but they are not yet sure of the final price.

Ok. Unfortunately, this is how the proverbial internet rumor mill gets going. The bottom line: TBD on pricing.
