Just found out they will charge $25 for the privilege. Classic blue/yellow plates need to be replaced in 10 years, white/blue plate replacement in one year. Such bullcr@p.

I always liked those burnt orange with blue lettering plates that said "Empire State." Classic.

The new plate designs follow the trend all over the country and are terrible imho. Overly busy and cartoonish.

I don't like any of them. Where did Excelsior come from, we have always been the Empire State. I have to admit they look better than the orange and blue plates I currently have. Once the new plates come out we will have 3 different types of plates on the road until all the old white plates have been replaced. Only here in NY.
