New WAMM details

"Dave Wilson spent the last five years creating this sonic and visual industrial art and wanted it's unveiling to be a slower, methodical, and intentional revealing of the various complexities found in the design. It will make much more sense when the reveal process is complete." From WA's FB page.

IMO, Way too much money for a single point source speaker , not ESL in the middle and not a 4 tower setup, cant see it being competitive with other SOTA speakers and not really a WAMM...

"The new WAMM will consist of two main full-range array towers, with sub towers an optional upgrade with controllers. Compared to the original WAMM and the current Alexandria XLF, the new WAMM will have better performance and will be more massive as well as taller. It will also be more adaptable to various room sizes and acoustical environments due to the ability for micro-tuning in the time domain. Like the original WAMMs, the architecture as developed so far will allow for future upgrading." - http://www.audiosalon.com/brands/wilson-audio/wamm-2015/

The Alexx first had a large front port at the bottom. Then in production it was removed. Now I see a return of the front port with the WAMM.

Mike - The Alexx continues to have front and back ports. Designed to accommodate different room settings.

It will be interesting to see with this 4 tower WAMM system , if the port remains in the production model , integration and hand off tends to be much easier if mains are sealed vs Bass towers.

Has there been any confirmation of MSRP yet?

The steps with the spikes in the back are reminiscent of Alexia's.

From that photo it appears they decided to leave all the drivers individually adjustable and not have one control to simultaneously align them for a given seating position.

I think we'll know more when the video is released on 10/5, but I'm guessing there are more controls on the back.

Has there been any confirmation of MSRP yet?

I think it will be $400K for the towers and $500K with the Sub Towers and controller.

"Good Morning World! Here is the 3rd to last images from the teaser set we have scheduled for you... October 7th all the pieces will be put together."

So, what do you guys think? There is a lot of adjustability for time alignment, room placement, etc. The midrange drives look different. Tweeter looks soft dome.
