I thought you were starting a VPI owner's forum on the Shark. There seems to be lots of guys here who do own VPI tables. I owned a TNT for several years and enjoyed it immensely. I had (and still have) the TNT stand. I also had the SDS, and 3 different arms mounted on it at different times. My TNT started off in life as the 3 pulley version. Mike from VPI told me to remove the other pulleys as they just added noise and sent me caps that snapped into the plinth to cover the holes. I had a machinist work over the bearing, spindle and thrust plate. He micropolished the spindle, cleaned the bearing and the thrust plate. I also bought the 300 RPM motor from VPI and installed it. The machinist also adjusted the runout on the platter which the TNT platter has that capability built in. My TNT was super quiet and sounded great.
