New Table

I use an hrs under my AMG as well and have my table angled as well.
While it is correct that hrs can customize a m3x platform for a specific component (and label it), in reality, this is accomplished by matching different rated loading feet to the correct location on the m3 that will receive the appropriate weight from the component. In the case of the amg, the hrs is set up with two green loaded feet on the left and two red loaded feet on the right. Checking this orientation now will be a pain but there is a simpler way to do this. If you push down on the shelf with your hand, with the component on top, and there is no travel (elastomer has bottomed out) then the footer loading range is not suitable and should be replaced.

There have been two variations of HRS platforms for the AMG....the first one was 21" wide with two red feet (RR - RF) and two green foot for the (LR - LF). The red feet have a lessor load range vs the green.

The second version is 23" wide with two red feet for (RF - RR) and two green feet for (LF - LR) and the lessor load range for the red applies also.

The 23 inch wide platform allows an east to west orientation due to the wider width.....the 21 inch wide platform was intended for the angled orientation due to its smaller width and was the first generation, although it works fine for a east to west orientation but the ends of the table are at the edge of the platform and could be the reason for the wider version. I like the 21 inch wide version with the angled orientation of the table as it allows the cart/head shell to sit less forward and out of harms way a bit more. Comes down to what works best for your application and likes.

Hey Jeff, thanks for that as I'm considering an hrs base for my V12. Good to see the site up & running again.

Niiiiiice!

The Brinkmann Bardo with Origin Live tonearm is like 10k. I couldn't afford the AMG either :( I'll be honest though, I probably will never upgrade- I love staring at it too much!

Keith, The Bardo is a cool table in it's own right! No reason to.
