Pieces for my new system are arriving slowly but surely. I should have everything by Christmas. LOL.

This weekend I put together my new stand for my Studer 810. Yes, there is actually a company in Latvia that builds stands for various R2R decks. Mine is a custom job with two shelves.

Stunning Mike! Really a very classy look even though the utility of it is very evident! Looks like you could sit very comfortably in front and do some serious recording editing work!

Is that a Doshi Pre-amp underneath? Man my room is nearly stuffed to the gills with equipment and racks now, but that great looking workstation rack would be a great edition for my Technics. Going to wait for the new house though!

Congrats on a great piece of audio furniture!

The Doshi looks great in the two shelves below. Mike, do you have a link to the stand maker? Thanks, Larry

Hi, yes, Doshi Tape Pre and it’s PSU. The head unit was part of the stand package. I had them add the second shelf.

pretty awesome reel to reel

That's truly hard core! Mike, may I ask: Will you be keeping it on the casters? Or is that just for setting it up before putting it in its regular position in the rig? (I've often wondered how much wheels affect sound quality.)

I’ll keep it on the casters. Doesn’t affect sound whatsoever.
