Nice Randy. So you kept the Mcintosh amp. Got rid of the T+A. Mcintosh is unique equipment. It has color. But it appears to be a very pleasing color that many gravitate too. JD rip was a huge Mcintosh fan. I wonder what happened with his system. I read that article the other day about is your system too good. You seem to have built a blend that would be very musical and easy to sit back and enjoy. While also digging deep and showing you what your listening too. Nicely done.
I'm curious why some people have 2 or 3 turntables?
very nice randy! ...and, that vinyl collection seem to be growing rapidly!

I wanted the second table for more of an every day use table. The Rega is nice but it does involve a bit more care then the direct drive Technics. I use it more for serious listening sessions or higher grade albums. I also want a table that would allow for quick cartridge switches and I keep the Ortofon 2M Red mounted to switch for first play on questionable used albums, etc. I do like the auto lift also because I have fell a sleep on a couple occasions and the table keep playing.
I like direct drive too. I am the most satisfied with vinyl now than I have ever been since I upgraded my table. What do you mean more care. Both of your tables are pretty much, clean the needle and drop it in the groove? I built a little stand that holds my goo dot at the perfect height. I also a magic sponge at the perfect height. About every 10 records I use the magic sponge. Every album side I drop into the goo, then onto the vinyl.

Me to. My solution to that problem is to turn up the volume. But there comes a point when sensibility must prevail and I turn it all off...As I get older I do find myself falling asleep at times while listening.
This post is really helpful for me personally. As I get older I do find myself falling asleep at times while listening. So, an auto lift feature may limit the type table I plan on purchasing. Thanks - as I hadn't considered this before ... and now I will.
PS: Your system is absolutely beautiful. Congrats on a job well done.
Its been a while with several changes so I thought it was about time to post some updated photos.
