I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My friends call me Boot, and I recently purchased Design Audio Video, Inc. from Keri Baskin, David's widow. As some of you know, David passed away this past September and he had created a beautiful company with extraordinary lines. I hope to follow in his footsteps as I see no need to reinvent the wheel. If I may be of help to anyone, please do not hesitate to contact me....... My very best to all
 
I'm happy to see Design Audio Video live on. David was a special man, equaled by no other. He is truly missed and I think about him daily.
 
Welcome Boot! I have many dear friends in Houston and learned how to make great BBQ Brisket, ribs and chicken on a wood smoker from them!

David was one of my best friends, along with Keri and their wonderful children. I wish you good luck on keeping Design Video up and running.
 
So Boot are you close to Houston? I have an audiophile buddy who lives out there who's interested in a local high-end audio shop in case he needs support and wants to change gear down the line but he is not aware of any?

And good luck with the venture going forward :thumbsup:
 
Cmalak - I believe Tyler is closer to Dallas than Houston by about 100 miles or so. Of course 100 miles to many Texans is spitting distance! LOL

Hi Boot (Johnny). I received your email announcement today. David was a great guy - Mike introduced us. Very sorry to hear of his passing. Please pass condolences to Keri from all those who dealt with David on this forum (I'm sure there are a lot who just didn't know he was battling ALS and didn't get an opportunity to give their best to her).

I also wish you good luck in your new business.
