Right now tropical storm Nate is south of Yucatan, Mexico headed toward the Gulf of Mexico. Sustained winds are 50 mph. The National Hurricane Center predicted path shows Nate becoming a hurricane by this Saturday and possibly making landfall in New Orleans.
As all Floridians were reminded during hurricane Irma, the unpredictability of a hurricane' track is not something to be ignored. Although the present predicted path shows Nate hitting land in southeastern Louisiana, north Florida residents need to keep a watchful eye on this storm. I sure don't want another hurricane coming across me again this year.
