New Luxman d-10x sacd/cd-player

For those who already own one of these... can you confirm what material the disk tray is made out of? It appears to either be plastic or stamped steel.

The D-10x drawer is all metal. It might be aluminum. But there is no cheap plastic anywhere.

I’ve had the D-10x at home for the past few days. Let me tell you, it is very special. Very special. Musical as F!

A cool feature of the D-10x is that I plays the MQA layer of MQA cd’s. Previously, the only way to get those files was to rip it. Cool!

Thanks Mike but that doesnt really answer my question. If it is metal, it appears to be a stamped tray, not a machined aluminum one.

I just ordered a DP-750 and holy shit is that thing massive... almost 63lbs. The whole bottom plate of the player is solid machined aluminum... along with the entire cd mechanism, including the tray. Now that thing is a tank. In all honesty the Luxman internals look a little cheap when compared.

On closer look, it looks machined aluminum to me. And the sound is outstanding. So musical.

Does anyone know when the replacements for the lower-priced models will be available?
 
The D-03x is red-book only. I need SACD. Are the replacements for the D-05U or D-06U in sight?
 
I am still liking the K01X over the D-10X both sound great that’s for sure , I ended up adding a clock to the K01X which took it to another level

While I still prefer the look of the D-08u I must admit that this D-10x is growing on me, slowly but surely... Maybe it look stunning in the flesh??

Not that I can afford it or anything but hey... Everyone's a critic after all!

Thanks for the "Unboxing" video.

Well I've been to Croatia (a wonderful place), but certainly not long enough to learn the language. Since more than 80% of Croatians speak English, maybe the only reason he did this Unboxing video in Croatian is, he wants to spare me another bout of "Lux Lust". Yes, I saw an English review follow-up will be posted.

Mike is more than making up for it....

If you read the description below the video, he says he'll be posting an actual review at a later time in both Croatian and English. As much as I love a good unboxing video, I'm more interested in his impressions of it.

Small world, I use the exact same clock and LPS for my EtheRegen and soon Mutec!

The D-10x is one tempting SACD player for sure.
