New Luxman 595a Limited Edition

Interesting, but why even bother with a 300 unit production. Its either not all that special/unique or they're going to keep going with production and make some small changes to keep the "limited" designation of the original 300.

With the varying translations I've looked at, I'm under the impression that it's 300 per region or something like that because I read that it's specifically 300 for Japan on more than one page.

Originally I heard that the 595a wasn’t coming to the USA or even North America. I’m happy they changed their mind.

For those units shipping to US, will they be in US voltage? If only 300 units manufactured for Japanese market, they will be only in Japan voltage.

Yes, US Voltage. We have three on order, one is already sold.

Probably a last minute supply issue, but they havent reduced retail so who knows.

The REASON is that US government regulations don’t allow wood over any piece of equipment for CSA safety reasons. Japan apparently isn’t concerned.

First Ive heard of this, how does Accuphase and Axiss do it?

And how do Active speakers in wood cabinets get through as well? Or any subwoofer for that matter?

Is the wood on top? The 595 is wood all around, not just sides.

I asked Luxman and this is what they told me.

Maybe that’s why Accuphase costs more here!

Gorgeous! Wood top or metal top, both looking nice. Look like there are two versions of metal top

You know what surprises me to this day? Krell was chewed up online for building amplifiers with heatsinks that were inside of their cases, or "inside a box". Yet Luxman has been doing this for years on their Class A amplifiers and no one has dared to say a thing. Funny how people can be.
