This release does several things:
- Add Tidal My Mix
- Add Tidal EP and Single
- Add Tidal favorite sorting to Android app
- Allow the group of Tidal / Qobuz artist or favorite tracks to be added to playlist
- Improves stability for Android app
- Support new Tidal login scheme when new firmware enables that

There were some instances where there are a group of tracks that cannot be added to the playlist.

Am I misunderstanding something?

They're talking about the app version not the hardware's firmware version. App should have updated to 7.0 a couple of days ago.
