new iPad AIR ..cant play music through Lumin app

I bought a new iPad today and had my old iPad merged with the new one at the Genius Bar.When i got home and tried to play music it would not play. Minim is working...Roon..Tidal..and the albums show up as previously in my old iPad.It won't play now on the old iPad either.everything is on in the system.In Roon in the Library section of the settings i now have 2 'X1' audio devices ..one with Airplay but nothing i do helps..
 
Try resetting the network settings then shut it down turn it back in and re-apply your home network settings. Do this for both units and see if either one works again.
 
Please power off all network devices including Roon Core, Lumin and iPad. Power cycle the WiFi router and all access points and switches. Wait for 5 minutes, then power up the rest.
 
Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the Roon app on your iPad?
 
In the iPad, please make sure you are connected to the WiFi network not cellular network.

Please go to iPad settings -> Privacy, and make sure you have granted Local Network permission to Lumin app.
 
Peter..that last 'local network' move fixed the Lumin app but i still cannot play music through the lumin...there must be something i have not done right in the Roon core settings..i also can't play music through Room..
 
Peter..thanks..did not mean anything by that. was just wondering if the Roon people had heard of this issue..thanks for your help..dave
