Just an apprentice, but if you have the budget, Accuphase + Harbeth is a great match (I have the P3ESR's and they sound superb with an E450) LFD's amps are another popular match, although I have no experience there. But, imho at least, a tube integrated would be even better, dearly as I love my Accuphase the Harbeths sing sweetest when the tubes are in place. Leben's CS600 is a known good match. If budget is more of an issue, based on recent experience with Glen's Micro 25 pre I'd urge anyone to try the Croft Integrated!

Thanks magoo....

Actually its on top of my list...Accuphase E-600, next is Luxman 590AX..Redwine Audio Signature 115 with tube input..

Cheers..

Nice sub-forum.
I have a pair of P3ES with extenders, and have a loan pair of Active 40s. I am ashamed to say neither are in use at the moment though.
The P3 ESs are on loan to a nearby enthusiast and the Active 40s are in a cupboard.

The Luxman would be super choice for the SHL5 and don't forget the Naim Super nait :) In my case I really enjoyed the SHL5 with McIntosh MC275's
