an oft heard maxim from my PCA/POC days: there was plenty of road left, the driver ran out of talent :)

Pre production cars are called 'crusher cars' for a reason, all of the C8s now in wild will eventually be crushed anyways.
 
I priced one up with the options I would want : 3LZ, magnetic ride , Z51, power lift front end, rear spoiler, convertible etc. and it came in around 95K. I am probably going to wait for the Z06 version and hope they offer it in a manual transmission. I have a 2017 Z06 convertible at the moment.

Dave, I wasn't aware of a convertible offering as of yet ?
 
That’s why there is more than one car.

I can’t wait to get mine. I think the styling is gorgeous.
 
If you get one of the first ones - you can drive for 9 months and sell it for more than you paid for it.

Thats what I call a NO loose situation....

(disclaimer - assuming it goes like almost all first gen cars that will be in limited production compared to demand. obviously no experience selling the new corvette)

I doubt that any Chevy Corvette C8 is going to hold its value. As soon as the Z06 or grand sport comes out people will stop wanting the stingray, they are going to make too many for there not to be discounts after the first year
 
It would definitely be only for the first few months.

But you might be right??????

I followed a C8 home the other evening. I have mixed emotions on this vehicle. From a couple of angles it looks absolutely stunning whereas from others not so much. This latest one I followed which had a spoiler sure did not impress from the rear view. I have seen a couple in Rapid Blue which should be banned. It sure doesn't look like the color in the photos.
