I have a custom ‘silent’ win 7/10 I3 Pc with JCat NetCard XE fully powered by HD Plex LPS.
The K-50 is better.
I have heard Aurenders N30SA, A10 and the Taiko Extreme. But no back to back sessions so nothing comparable as I don’t trust my music memory.
The K-50 is solid. Linux based, offers ROON core (important to me) and the ability of to use squeeze or ROON as the player. It’s reclocker to digital outputs better the DLNA connection to my Bricasti M21.
It sounds fantastic - Yes, I said that already.
You have "heard", I assume this means you have not owned them or lived with them in your own system for any decent amount of time? Rather you heard them at a Dealer?
In any event, I just ordered a K22, as I don't use Roon and don't need the Server functionality. We shall see
I heard the N30SA and the Taiko at Mikes place. Sort of back to back but I was shopping speakers and cannot make a comparison of the servers. I only remember the N30SA didn’t give anything up versus the Taiko. Both also used different connections types and different cables to the MSB DAC.
I will wait and see if I agree although its not a K50.
Just add a K41 and you will have a K50. Roon isn't the only software that benefits from having a separate server and player.
