Squash balls. ...What brand Doug? ...King? ...The black ones are the best, they have the highest density (hardness) and can handle more pressure and more weight and more force. ...Makes great 'shock' absorbers (anti-vibration), and are ultra affordable. :cool:

* I use half cut squash balls under many of my audio/video components.
Hockey pucks are good too, for speaker's elevation, and under ultra heavy amps.
But! They have to be the Official National Professional Canadian Hockey League brand.
...They come from special rubber trees; from Igloo country. ;)

You're killin' me Bob! :D

No tennis balls, and I think that all golf balls are made at the same factory somewhere in the Far East and are just re-branded at distribution time. So it shouldn't matter what the name is on it! As far as hockey pucks go, I do have an official Detroit Red Wings practice puck. Will that work?
 
Actually a hockey puck on top of a component does make a difference. :)

Very nice setup I too just recently got back into vinyl and I just loving it.

Nice new Acquisitions Doug. Analog is a deeep rabbit hole that makes Digital seem cheap by comparison.

The city of Geneva government last summer sold off their analog collection (25K albums approx) last Summer in an open air flea market (for cheap too), as they went all digital. I can imagine the feeding frenzy! If I was an analog guy, I would have been all over that (though I susspect one needs sharp elbows in such a situation). LoL

Today I installed some NOS Tesla 6922's in my Chinook. The Tesla's replaced the stock Electro-Harmonix tubes which were quite enjoyable in their own right. The Teslas have a little more "meat on the bones" than the EH's. The sound is more full and has more of a richness than before. The bottom end has more weight to it which really helps with the two-way speakers I'm running. It's not as if the bass wasn't there before but now it's a bit more pronounced and really helps with the overall balance of the music.

I want to thank Mike for hooking me up with Nikolay from Tube Maze. His prices were great and service was fantastic! Thanks guys. :satisfying:
 
That's funny...I have a whole bunch of NOS 6922 tubes now (been rolling in the AUNE)

I have Amperex, Mullard, Sylvania, GE, Siemens, Electro Harmonix and some VOSTOK's...

Favorite so far is the GE made in Holland but made in Germany...LOL
