Network App Configuration Suggestion

For Lumin units with both fiber and copper Ethernet connection options, I know Lumin specifically instructs "Do not connect both fibre and copper Ethernet of LUMIN back to the switch as this creates a loop and will bring down the network". My question to Peter/Lumin team is whether it would be possible to implement network selection of fiber or copper in the Lumin App, essentially allowing cable connections of both to the unit, in my case X1, at same time but only one being active per App selection.

My rationale is ability to compare presentations of each as well as different cabling. IMO, changes in equipment and accessories, to include cabling, in a audio system environment can affect sound signature of various pieces, even if they themselves are not altered. My one complaint on the X1 has been the difficulty in making cable change comparisons. The overhang "roof" in the rear, for me at least, has been an aggravating difficulty in making changes. I cannot see the connectors. I suspect there is a good design reason for this overhang, since additional material there is a cost. I have wondered if it is intentionally designed to give offset space from other cabling and connections on the X1.

I would appreciate Lumin response to me network App suggestion as well as explanation of the overhang.

Sorry, that's not possible with the hardware.

The overhang is intentional for aesthetic reasons, but we do understand the difficulty it causes.
