Need help/advice

Has anyone ever opened up a McIntosh remote control to clean the contacts ? I would hate to crack the case trying too.

I did. All that popped up was tv remotes.

If you mean the battery contacts, I cut my wife’s Emery board to fit in the remote for my McIntosh gear. It’s not the best repair in the world, but at least my remote works.
