Beautiful Michael! Did you pick the color? What options were there for the appearance.

Also very interested in how the 3.5 foot tall speakers perform, image wise. I expect a small listening room is in my future, so these speakers are on the radar. Pretty happy with my current ones though, and they fit well in a smallish room.

Oh, and are they heavy?

Hello!

Mike @ Suncoast picked the color and it is beautiful in person. The wife loves the color. You can pick any color of the RAL color chart.

These are 125 lbs each and are beautifully made. The way they came in the flight case made them very easy to remove, put carefully on a dolly and just drive them into the right spot. My wife and I were able to do it quite easily.

I was surprised how much easier the flight case made it. We simply:

  1. Figured out which side was the bottom;
  2. I held the case at a 45 degree angle while the wife easily removed the front of the case;
  3. She brought the dolly right up to the front (now open) of the case and I carefully brought the case up to vertical position while holding the speaker so it didn't fall out;
  4. Then we easily slid the speaker (with the cover still on it and using the interior foam as padding on the dolly) on to the dolly and drove it right to the room position.

It was very easy and literally took 5 minutes per speaker. I also think having brought in so much gear for review has made us semi-pro movers. LOL.

I'm going to have them on floor sliders for now while I play with speaker location, and also tweak pitch and toe in.

I heard the larger models at the Florida show with VAC and IMO they were the best sounding rooms. My room is exceptionally large (22' x 32') so to be fair this is a much larger room than they are ideal for. I may consider the larger Studio Plus - we'll see. Those are 325 lbs each so no way the wife and I can do those ourselves. LOL

However I can't wait to hear these and my prediction is so long as I don't try and recreate rave club-like levels they are going to do great.

Congrats on the speaker , Florian and company has done a fantastic job on the building, packaging and delivery of these very difficult to transport loudspeakers ...

Any updates on the sound in your room ..?
Regards

I agree Florian and team have done a fantastic job with all aspects I've seen so far from cases to the beautiful looks of the speaker.

I'm actually undertaking completely changing the set up in my room by 90 degrees. It's something I've wanted to do for a while and I finally got the wife's approval this past week so I need to strike before she changes her mind.

Once I get that completed, assuming it sounds good I'll establish a baseline and then compare the Clarisys to speakers I am familiar with.

If the new layout doesn't work, I'll put it all back, familiarize myself again with the existing base line and then insert the Clarisys.

I promise I'll keep you updated on my impression of the speakers. If they are anything like the other pairs of Clarisys I've previously listened to, they are going to be fantastic speakers.
