I am waiting for my Don Sachs Pre 2. Being that I just ordered it, I'm going to be waiting 10-12 weeks. I need a preamp that I can use in the interim. I would prefer something that I could buy preowned and then sell without losing much (or anything). Not looking to spend a ton, just something functional but adequate for a few weeks.

Any ideas?

Disregard. I figure I'll pick up a MZ2. Shouldn't lose too much when selling it.

Save your money and buy a Yamaha C2a preamp. Crazy good and destined to become a classic if more people ever figure out how good it is.

Save your money and scan Ebay for an Audire or PS Audio pre with independent PSU , any of the two can be had for under 500.00 and may fill more than an hold over spot ...
