New member here & I joined specifically to inquire whether anybody has been fortunate enough to compare A-B these 2 integrated amps. I am only considering either one of these. My speakers are Kef LS50's.
Thanx

Welcome!

Welcome cleer1,

Based on what I read about the LS50, tube amps seem to make them sound better so my guess is the Naim Supernait2 might be the logical choice. The Naim would be more "musical" in my opinion.

Welcome Cleer! I cannot speak to the Marantz or even the Kef's but running the SN2, I can tell you that it is musical, neutral, and quite powerful (despite what one might think by its specs). It is very stable with difficult loads (2 ohms) and I also feel its very balanced, without any one frequency range standing out. I am very happy with it. Hope this helps a bit. Happy hunting.

Thanks to everybody, perhaps I was mistaken but I didn't know the Naim Supernait-2 was a tube amp. ....Think I would hafta fly to the UK to find a dealer that carried both so that I could A/B them, doubt here in the US any dealer carried Naim & Marantz

Sorry for the confusion, but the Naim and Marantz are solid state designs. My comment was only that some people who love the LS50, love them more with tube amps and my opinion is that the Naim is a warmer, more musical (solid state) amp compared to the Marantz.

Hey Cleer, you were right, originally. The SN2 is not tube, but I think Joe had mentioned that because in terms of musicality, the Naim sound might be considered to be close to a tube sound. Hope this helps.
