Bought this to help me complete my 4th year of "no excuses" consecutive days of exercising. 1118 completed days after my gym workout this morning.

Ordered Tuesday. Awesome local trikes-only shop. I am waiting for parts to arrive.

https://www.terratrike.com/adventure-touring/all-terrain/ Made in Michigan.

I ordered the AT because the 26" wheels/tires raise the seat 2.5" higher than the street bikes. I have no plans to get the bike "dirty". Dealer is swapping to street tires (Schwalbe Big Apple 2.0) at no charge. Changing the cranks to something shorter so my knees will not flex as much. Ergonomics beat leverage every time. Also swapping chainrings to a better ratio for pavement riding.

Looks comfortable for long rides. I try to do 10 miles a day with my Costco cheap bike. My daily rides last until about July when it’s so hot out your brain melts.

I've had an Azub Ti-Fly 26 (on right) for several years. Full suspension, very comfortable and fast. My wife's yellow Catrike is on the left. Our 2 wheel bikes get very little use these days as. 20-30 miles on the trike is an easy morning ride. There are terrific paved trails all over Florida that make riding very safe and enjoyable. We wish we'd done this years ago.

TomS,

Nice rides. I am new to trikes. The amount of accessories is amazing. What is the silver thing that runs from wheel to wheel? It looks like a stabilizer or brace. And what are the red things fastened to the main tube next to the aforementioned silver thing?

I had an awful time finding an outer 44T chainring. Finally found an MSA ramped and pinned 110BCD 5-bolt. 44T was the limit imposed by my front and rear derailleurs pairing. Modernbike.com has an amazing number of parts if you can sort through their strange listing format.

Utah Trikes and The Hostel Shoppe are great trike resources, highly recommended!

The silver plate is a titanium leaf spring with 40mm of vertical travel. It also has an air shock in the rear. All of this makes it very comfy on the road. Pretty much every fitting is billet aluminum, which is in red on this one. It also folds up for transport in just a few seconds.

Here is a link to the Ti-Fly 26 on the Azub trike site. All are made in the Czech Republic.

This is my local dealer. When I pick up my ride I will count the number of trikes he has on the showroom floor. I bet he has at least 24. https://laidbackcycles.com/

Saw this bad boy suitable for monster trike rallys.

I need one of those. My inner ear balance problem, prevents me from speedskating or riding my road bike.
But they all seem rather pricey.
I'd suggest looking for a resale Catrike (my wife's yellow one is a folding 5.5.9. model). Can't go wrong with them, American made in Orlando, and very easy to service. I gave up a carbon fiber road bike and a nice Trek fitness special for my Azub. So glad I did, never looked back. Unfortunately, new trike prices have nearly doubled since Covid, crazy.

While researching how much to ask for my total custom Bacchetta Giro, I saw some shockingly low prices on craigslist. Some were beat up but others were in very good condition. Motor-assist is also an option but a more expensive one. But a great solution for someone with limited physical ability or areas where hills can be a challenge.

TerraTrike and SunSeeker are more affordable brands. TerraTrike is made in Michigan. TerraTrike lowered prices and hopes to hold the lower prices. I exchanged multiple emails with them before purchasing. Someone can get into a nice trike for less than the cost of a power cord.

$1290 NEW (price lowered from $1500) https://www.terratrike.com/leisure/maverick/

$1750 NEW (Price lowered from $2150) https://www.terratrike.com/leisure/rogue/

$2150 NEW. I like this model for the higher seat. https://www.terratrike.com/leisure/rambler/

They all weigh a ton!
My road bike was something under 20 pounds.

The Trident Tomcat might be the lightest of the reasonably priced tri's.
My last road bike was an all Campy Record titanium Merlin with a carbon fork. A great ride. I miss how it danced underneath me but I don't miss the sore everything when I rode it. I have been 'bent for many years. Now I can ride back-to-back days.

I have a nice Catrike I'd like to sell. Speedskater, unfortunate you're not local to the SF Bay Area.
