Just got word that my Emission Labs Mesh Anniversary Globes are on their way. I should have them tomorrow and will put them into my Lampizator Big 7. Can't wait. I've had the Takatsukis and the Elrogs. Both great tubes, but I had to get rid of the Elrogs because my first pair put on a great fireworks display. At this point, I am favoring the 45s anyway.

Bruce,

Do you have the Takatsuki 300B or 274B or both? Would love some comments on any of the Takatsuki tubes in comparison to others. I haven't seen much on the Tak 300Bs especially in relation to some of the other choices.

Thanks,

Richard

Bruce, I eagerly await your feedback.

Crashem, I think Mike B commented on the Tak 300bs months ago.

IMHO, Tak 300Bs are the closest to WE 300Bs out there now. I have not heard ElRogs and have not owned Taks, but I have now spent time with them. They are great.

I had the Takatsuki 300Bs. They are a great tube...neutral, fast and dynamic but I preferred the Elrogs, which had many of the same qualities, but with an additional sweetness and ease. Unfortunately, I would never put another pair of Elrogs in my Lampi. When they failed, it was frightening.

I have seen some tube failures with my DIY experiments, so I am not so scared. But the smell of a resistor burn out gets me. Anyway, I think the sound of thoriated tungsten is really what drives that...

I used to have both Taka and Elrog. On Lampizator Big 7, Elrog won hands down. I cannot imagine another tube performing the same level.

I am waiting for feedbacks from EML 45 Anni. but honestly I don't think it can get to that level either.

I know that the EML Lampizator 45s are sold out and would love to hear some feedback.
What is the sound like and what rectifiers are being used?
I love the sound of my EML 300b Mesh with my Fivre rectifier-so many tubes, so little time

I'm loving my Lampizator EML 45 Globes. Sweet, detailed and dynamic with a big soundstage and excellent imaging. My new favorite, especially considering my Elrogs blew up.
