My Eico HF87 is fixed!

I'll be picking up my rebuilt Eico tonight from Mike Missel in St. Louis, and I can't wait to hear how it sounds with a deluxe rebuild. Nice sonicaps all around, joints all reflowed, new CE power filter caps, benched at .7/.8 % distortion at 35 wpc with the mongrel EL34s.

what matched quad should I pick up?

How much cashish are you willing to spend? Hard to beat the SED EL-34s for the money and sound quality. You could easily spend more money than your amp is worth if you chase after NOS EL-34s that are truly matched.
