I know, it's not like being there in the room, and no two people have the same talent in recording music on videos with the same recording gear and mic positioning.

Honest ears from what it is, in the here and now.

To my ears, the music sounds too bright, reverb, echoing; the room needs work (fine tuning), and the mic moving around is a no-no.

How does it sound to your own ears?

As you say, it’s difficult to determine much via video. Also, the recording device will affect the sound. And the moving around eliminates any possibility to determine what you are actually hearing.

It's only music for fun, a facsimile, a cheque with our name on it (signature).

Here's another one...and to my own set of ears, with more potential (music sound wise strictly speaking). And of course the room is all about what the final sound's reach...the character.
I like this tune ...

Never been a fan of McIntosh but that actually sounds quite good despite some listening room influences and the camera guy constantly moving around.

Not sure how this might rank against it.
