Orpheus with Kharma Elegance speakers - what to like here? actually nothing.
Orpheus isn't was it used to be when the lead designer leaved to start CH Precision.

Magico Q7 II with Soulution - it sounded better than S7 and Constellation, but still has boring sound.

Rosso Fiorentino - the first word my friend said to me about the sound - horrible, and we just ran out of there.

Sonus Faber - a wall of distorted sound met us when we enter the room, 30 seconds later we ran out of there.
My 3rd worst sound of the show, in the worst one we ran out after 10 seconds or so - we tried to listen to it several times, but with the same result every time.

Magico S7 with Constellation - nothing special at all. Just flat sound came out of S7.
Couldn't listen to it for more than a few minutes.

Many setups sounded like S7, it was very hard to find good to very good sounding rooms.
There were some phenomenal sounding ones too, but that was only a few.

Could you name them, I have yet to see a consensus regarding good sound , well apart from the WE system .... :)

Kyron Audio from Australia - good to very good sound, depending on the music type played.

MR WIZARD. Sounds like you didn't hear to many rooms at this show that met your expectations. Can you give us a few comments as to what rooms were interesting to you?
CHEERS......T

I dont think Mr Wizard hung around enough to give the rooms a chance on the flip side, most i have spoken to , have said most of the rooms were a disappointment and none agree on best of sound , so Wizard maybe spot on ...

Go figure .. :)

With a big show, one doesn't have the luxury of hanging out and praying the sound gets better. Way too much to cover and see.

Then this will be quick as there wasn't so many.
Will do when I find the pics of them.

Does anyone know the reasoning behind why magico chooses to use only one set of binding posts for their speakers ...?

Same reason there's nothing in series with the tweeter. Everything extra degrades the sound to some extent.

FMA XS - my 2nd best sound at the show.
It was fun to talk to Manuel Huber, he really likes my blog.

Pictured is FMA's upgraded product, it wasn't mentioned anywhere, but Manuel showed me - a remote controlled 155 preamp.

Yes, well, sometimes, Yet i will have to disagree with 5 drivers being fed off of one set of binding post thou, my preference would be to have the ability to bi-wire, if i wanted to and I know they have their reason, just thought it interesting they chose not to ...

Well that's Alon's philosophy.
