Most probably I will join for dinner depending on the day you plan to organize it. My idea is to drive from Lausanne early morning Saturday (or after work Friday). I could join if you plan to have it on Saturday night.

If you're used to US distances it's just around the corner, if you're from Europe it's a longer 6.5 h drive ;-)

It would be great to meet you all personally in Munich! I'll fly in from Italy with two friends on Saturday morning and back on Sunday evening. I'm sorry, but this year for several reasons I can only do a short trip.

Hi XV-1,

I just checked some flight connections: there are direct flights from Eindhoven (should be the nearest airport to Zaltbommel) to Munich for just around 100 Euro with Transavia Airlines. Should be the best way to join us here in Munich ;-)

I would propose to meet each day at 11 am at the bar/restaurant in the atrium of Hall 4 which is quite easy to find.

... it's the perfect time for a second breakfast with the typical white sausages and the Bavarian beer ;-)

Someone is familiar with Bavarian kitchen, I see. Sounds good.

11 am would be good, as they can officially serve the Weisswurst/ Weissbier 'Brotzeit' until 12 o'clock only.

For non-locals, this is a recommendation to try. The only occasion I am aware of, when it is politically correct to drink beer in the morning [emoji3].

Background of the 'Brotzeit' tradition is that it actually is a second breakfast or light lunch for Bavarian craftsmen, who start their day as early as 6 am. Around 10 am they are ready for a break and a quick lunch.

Even my Italian wife tried them for breakfast and she liked them (and Italians are not well known for eating things like eggs and bacon for breakfast ;-))...
