Wow... that was quick: while I was writing my question you already posted the answer ;-)

They are using the fantastic Goebel speakers. Without the additioal subwoofer they are a little bass-shy, but with great imaging and natural timbre.

No, no, you have it wrong. They play music that appeals to young people (like techno style). They know how to attract the young crowds.
