Both were excellent. I heard Lee Zeppelin Whole Lot of Love on the old WE System. Heard Stimela on the Kiwero’s.

AXPONA has become the largest audio expo in North America with about 200 exhibits. Munich is the largest in the world and many times larger, I've heard with about 500 exhibits.

IMHO regardless of the number of exhibits and with no disrespect to AXPONA, Munich has a vibe, pace, and environment that is untouched by any show I have been to in the USA. Indeed as audio.bill points out and Mike's feet are probably complaining to him, the sheer size is much larger than anything in the USA, but for me the whole experience and energy is well above that of any other show. It is insane how immense and awesome the Munich show is all at the same time.

Great coverage as always, Mike. Thanks a lot. Just got an agreement with my wife that we will be in Munich this time next year.

The speakers are $275,000 Euros. But it gets you the symphony in your room. Listening to Fanfare for the Common Man and it was mind blowing.

As one guy said, you can spend three times as much and get shit.

For those that like big amps. The new Playback Designs amp. That’s a CD I put next to it to show the scale.

800 watts/channel. AB.

I’m certainly no headphone guru/expert, but this HifiMan Shangri-La System is the best I’ve ever heard. I heard several Hi-Fi man Headphones with the the Viva and a few others. All good, but this was world class. No sizzle in the top like the others had.

I would have a hard time deciding between the Shangri-La and the Junior model. Probably the big daddy. Just smoother.

Can’t you see yourself in a pair of these speakers? I can.

It’s hard work, but someone has to do it...

The lovely Maria, the R2R Queen.

A couple of observations:

- No Dartzeel
- No CJ
- only one pair of Wilson’s on display for both shows Vs 6 or 7 pairs of Magico’s. But the Sasha DAW did sound good with Spectral and MIT. Wasn’t expecting it would be a good pairing, but the dryness is the Spectral really worked.

Huge!! I guess a fork lift would be more appropriate than including handles in the design.
