Am curious about this phono stage. Has anyone heard it? Can you please describe its sound. Is the SRP in the US still $60K? TIA! :)

Thanks Mike for the reply. Did you just get the MP-P201 recently? I read your previous post: "The best phonostage I've ever heard? The Kronos. Second would be the Tenor. Third would be the VAC Statement. Soulution also makes a fabulous phonostage." Just wondering if you've already heard the MP-201s when you made the above comment. Thanks!

Mike , how does it compare with the DSA Phono II?

The DSA offers more inputs, but that's really where the benefits end. The Vitus Masterpiece Phonostage has great separation, control and drive. It simply elevates my entire vinyl setup.

My tube Air Tight Phono with SUT provided more tonal richness, but it lacked the bass, control, definition/resolution of the Vitus.

Wow thanks for sharing, Mike. The MPP201 is on my radar but not sure if it is near end of life cycle. The CH Precision P1 plus PSU apparently is also very competent.

I heard the CH against the Tenor and REF3 Phono from Audio Research and the CH wasn't my cup of tea in that setup.

Can you demo the Tenor phono?

The others I like are the ARC REF10 Phono and the new REF3 Phono.

The top VAC phono is also superb.

Lots of great phonostage options at this level.

I haven't, Mike. Prefer to stay with solid state. Had a ARC preamp and Lamm SET amps in long past. Great sound but generate too much heat in my room.

There are so few tubes in most tube phonostages. That's surprising is a problem.
