Most memorable concert

WOW Shadowfax, Zappa. I would have loved to have seen him. Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd with the Outlaws countless times in the NYC area. My favorite must be Van Halen around 1979 3rd row I believe at The Atlantic City Convention Center. Saw them around 5 years ago with David Lee Roth again. Still very good. Recently saw The Psychedelic Furs surprisingly quite good. Worst... Bruce Spingsteen

The Zappa show was really cool. I had never seen so much equipment on a stage and Marshall Stacks. There was barely enough room for the performers. We went on a whim at the last minute too.

Another really good one was Triumph at the Tower. Rik and the bass player played Wireless, which was a first for me to see. They traveled the whole theater and balcony jamming away.

Also saw an Evening of Guitars and Sax at the Keswick 15 years ago or so. We were in about the 10th row and the 3 or 4 seats in front of us were empty, but the place appeared to be sold out. Craig Chaquico came down into the audience first and stood on two of the empty seats in front of us and played the whole song, Find Your Way Back, from Starship years. I could watch the seconds ticking on his Rolex.
Next up was Rick Braun, who started his set wireless and appeared from the lobby and worked his way down and again stopped and sat on the edge of the first empty seat in front of us and all but serenaded my wife with his opening tune.

The Blasters at BB Kings, 42nd st. in NYC. Their "reunion" tour in late 2002. Most of the original members (Lee Allen died a few years ago) were there and they still had it. ...in spades! The did all the old favorites which, since they broke up almost ten years prior, was all tey had then.

(Phil did "reboot" the blasters later with different members. OK, but not the same.)

Somehow, we got seats right in front of the stage in the center. ...two seats from the stage. We could feel Phil's sweat and Dave's relatively tiny guitar amp was almost in our ear and almost too loud for comfort. Yes, it was ALL amplified and it was LOUD, but every bit of grit and distortion sounded great! If you gota go electric, go all the way. BTW, all insturments were played through their equipment, not the house system.

My wife, bless her soul, was raised Southern Babdist and this is not her type of music, but by the end of the night she was rollin' with the beat with the rest of us.

Back in "te day", I've been (for rock) to the Filmore East, Capital Theatre, Asbury Park, The Beacon and Avery Fisher Hall but this had to be the best rock concert, or show would be more appropiate, I've been to.

About ten years ago, Avery Fisher Hall, full orchestra, full chorus (over 300 people in total) performing Carmina Burana.

Here are a few of mine.
Frank Zappa Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar at the Bayfront Center St.Pete Fl 1982
Robert Plant Shanken n Stirred tour 1985 Florida state fair grounds
The Who 1982 in Orlando

Matchbox Twenty. They are amazing live. Saw them in February and also a few weeks ago.
