:hi:Guys
What is the most memorable concert you've attended?

Here's mine:
Date-June 28 1975.
Venue-Ivor Wynne Stadium.
City-Hamilton, Ontario.
Country-Canada.
Tour-Wish You Were Here.
Group-Pink Floyd(of course).

This concert was 38 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. I even remember where I was sitting.

I've seen a lot of concerts over the years, but this one is by far the best and most memorable one I've ever attended:D:D

What say you. Do you have one that sticks in your mind????

James Taylor - Massey Hall Toronto. Can't remember the year. Early 90's. The sound was perfect and his performance was magical.

Worst concert? Diana Krall a few weeks ago in Sarasota. She was stoned or drunk or something. It was a horrible concert. People were leaving by the droves.

August 15, 1982 in Charlevoix, MI. I saw The English Beat open for The Police. The English Beat just released "Special Beat Service" and The Police put out "Ghost in the Machine". It was an outdoor venue that I drove to with a cousin and some friends. All I remember was the bass was cranked so much that it just pulsated through my body. :D

Another one that rates high on my list.

Again I don't remember the year. Grand Funk Railroad in Memorial Auditorium Buffalo NY. The opening act was ZZ Top.

I bet that was a good show. I would have liked to see both bands myself and especially ZZ Top around La Grange time (pre-beard of course!).

Most memorable has to be my first which was KISS third row in Charlotte NC. 1976

KISS in 1976, oh hell yeah!!! :woot: Was that the "Destroyer" tour?

Honestly no glue. I do vividly remember being pressed to the barrier between the fans and stage and being there the entire show about 4 inches off the ground. I swear I could feel the heat of Gene Simon's spitting fire!!

So many great ones but.... 1971...Madison Square Garden....Concert for Bangladesh, because I loved George Harrison. Hearing him do 'Here Comes the Sun', 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' ....beyond words .....and then there's Dylan, Clapton, Leon Russell...

* Chicago - Montreal Forum (1971).
* Jethro Tull - Montreal Forum (1972).
* Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Place Des Nations: Montreal (1973).
* Yes - Montreal Forum (1974).
* Pink Floyd - Montreal Stadium (1975).

...Just to name a few.

The Cramps 1986 Phantasy Theatre
Roger Waters Wall Tour 2011 Quicken Loan Arena
Tom Waits 1976 Cleveland Agora
Bruce Springsteen 1978 Cleveland Agora

They may not have been the best sound wise, but they were memorable for sure.

1968- Big Brother & The Holding Company with Janis Joplin - Grande Ballroom, Detroit (first concert)
1978- Bruce Springsteen - Cobo Arena Detroit
1975/6- Bob Seger - Cobo Arena - Detroit
2003- Springsteen Mile High Stadium Denver

Best Sound
2012 - Leonard Cohen Fox Theater Detroit
2011 Brandi Carlile Interlochen Michigan (and again next month)

Roger Waters - TheWall - I think in 2010 in Chicago. It was the most amazing musical/visual experience I could have imagined. It's all down hill from there. I saw it again in 2012 at Wrigley field. It was great, but too loud/distorted where we were sitting.

Out of context,
Super tramp will be this week in my
Country (DR). I'm very excited to see
Them. Old good times !!!

Like everyone else there is more than one great so hard to say witch is most memorable.

I saw Zappa at the Spectrum in Philly the night after he was on SNL doing the Cone-head skit. The whole band came out and performed with Cone Heads on. Cannot remember the year....or most of that night....

Maybe the most memorable for me would be the first real concert I went to. I think it was 1975 and I was 15. My oldest brother took me to the Spectrum to see The Outlaws, Steve Marriott and the All Stars, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. This was the first time I ever saw people smoking pot in public. We were also up nice and high :) The Outlaws blew Skynyrd off the stage as an opening act and the 3 guitarists came back near the end to jam with LS and again blew them away. Hughie Thomson was the man!

The one concert that might have been the most memorable would have been Miles Davis's last show ever at the Keswick. I was all set to get tickets and for some reason something came up and we decided that we would just have to see him next time around. Miles died within 2 weeks and that was his last show ever. Still kicking myself over that.

Al Di Meola World Sinfonia at the Montréal jazz fest about 20 yearling ago.
Oregon at Victoriaville festival de musique actuelle in Victoriaville beffore that...
