Momentum integrated amplifier

I currently have Dan's new Integrated amp in my system for a few days courtesy of Larry at Paragon. A very nice looking unit.

Jim, how does it compare sonically to the amps? Is an integrated in your future?

Lastly, what's retail on it?

Mike
I think Larry indicated it was in the mid $40's. I just connected it a couple of hours ago so nothing really to note as of yet.

I wouldn't mind having one box to handle the duty of three. Not sure yet.

Jim - do you leave your D'ags on 24/7? Jock suggested it and I have to say, they sound absolutely incredible after being on for many hours.

I have always turned mine off at the end of each listening session. I haven't noticed a big difference once they are on for a few minutes. Do you hear a difference?

I leave mine on most of the time. Do turn off the amp bulb. And, when I travel or storms are forecasted I turn it off and unplug the everything from the wall.

Jim,

How is the integrated sounding after 24 hrs at home?

Thx!

Mike last evening it was sounding very good when I turned it off. I didn't get much listening in today. I went to a demo of the Bel Canto Black gear at a local dealer and when I returned my wife was reading/studying so I had to watch the volume. I hope to get more in tomorrow.

I hear a big difference. After talking to Jock, I decided to give it a try. After a full 24 hours of being on, the difference was substantial. Sweeter, fuller, more musical. Now every listening sessions begins and ends with the same great sound.

I remember Dan discussing how the amps only use 1 watt at idle. Now I think I know why he kept bringing that up. Perhaps he knew they sound best left on 24/7.

Give it a try - I would be interested to know your thoughts.
