I am transitioning from separates to a integrated amp. All my speaker cables are around 4 feet long for the way the sperate amps were positioned. I need a set that are around 2 meters. Any recommendations to look for on the new or used market under $800?

The most cost effective and still great sounding option would be two buy four meters of Dueland dual 12-gauge wire from Parts Connexion and make your own for a little over $160 if you use bare ends as they recommend. Otherwise you can add your own choice of connectors whether screw on, crimp or soldered. They have a great selection of connectors to chose from. Others in that general price range would be Triode Wire Labs or Wireworld Equinox or even Audio Sensibility.

I had a 4 foot pair of Duneland in both 16 and 12 gauge. To get a start I cut the 16 in to four 2 foot sections and attached them to the 12 gauge to make a pair of 6 foot cables. Not ideal but OK for now.
I will look into your suggested candidates. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

If you can budget about $1K for speaker cables, I'd recommend you consider getting a pair of the new Shunyata Research Gamma speaker cables (SPs) for $998 for a 2.5 M pair. I know it's about 20% more than your budget, but I have these speaker cables in for review of the full Gamma line of cables that I am writing, and I can say from direct experience they are frickin'...AMAZING, as is the entire Gamma line of cables. If you decide you can splurge a bit more, I think you'll find it well worth it. If that's above your budget cap, I'd suggest looking for used pair of Shunyata Research SPs online at Audiogon or US Audio Mart. If you decide to go with the new Gammas, reach out to our fearless leader, Mike Bovaird, as he's an authorized Shunyata Research dealer and he'll can get you sorted. Cheers.

I have been using Silversmith Audio Fideium speaker cables. I like them very much but they are not a good match for me due to their fragile aspect. I have also used Audio Envy cables. I still have a single ended interconnect in the bedroom setup and I will take a look at his latest offerings.

The Dueland 12 ga cables are pretty good. I made mine with soldered low mass banana plugs. I did mildly better with cables recommended by my speaker maker that cost twice your budget. (Same wiring that’s inside the speakers)

Dueland is a great starting point. I did 12 ga. I have read some felt better results with cables consisting of a combo 12 and 16 ga wires on both positive and negative (4 wires per cable). I never tested this, but would be my go to for my next DIY cables. I would probably try to braid the 4 cables in some fashion.
