Miss having a turntable

I am missing having a turntable in my system. I went to pick out a record by habit and looked down and no VPI Classic 1. I recently sold it and the buyer actually wanted it before my new Classic 3 got here. I guess I can't complain since the sale enabled me to purchase the Classic 3. Jeff says the TT is in, now just waiting for the cartridge.
 
I like to share the pain with you but I never heard the system to sold me yet. Lol

Paul - I recently went through this same experience. I sold my Avid before my VPI Classic 3 arrived. I was quite grumpy! Not to worry....in good time, you will be duly rewarded. Did I read that you got the Lyra Kleos?
 
Mike, yes I ordered the Lyra Kleos. I guess it takes awhile to make and ship from Japan. Following in your footsteps. Actually I went with it since Jeff recommended it for my system.
 
Paul congrats on the VPI Classic 3 / Lyra Kleos combo. Are you going to be using the phono on the C2300 or do you have plans for an outboard dedicated phono stage?
 
Cyrill, I will start by using the phono on the C2300 with GL tubes. Not sure how long I will wait to upgrade the phono stage. Jeff told me that is now the week ling in my system. At least that is an easy upgrade although an expensive one since I would have to better the C2300.
 
Paul...no rush I guess but my sense is Jeff is right that if you want to hear what the Classic 3?kleos combo is fully capable of, then a dedicated phono stage will likely get you there. Jeff is the analog guru here, so I would give his recos special consideration. I guess there is no rush, so when you are ready to take it to the next level, it's easy enough as you said to add another box to the system :D Congrats again and good luck!
 
If possible, my vinyl gear will be gone soon. I'll miss hunting for records, that was the best bit of it all,but I won't miss the futzing around or chasing my tail.
