Might fancy a new MC cartridge, any experiences with these?

Recently I looked into MQA DACs and concluded that my best option might be a new cartridge. As a matter of fact I am still a bit bored with digital and mostly enjoy vinyl.

So, I am having a look around and these are some carts I find interesting. Would appreciate your thoughts.

Transfiguration Proteus
- top model, great detail and resolution, might be a tad cold

Transfiguration Phoenix-S
- notch down from Proteus, but might be a tad fuller sounding

ZYX Ultimate 1000
- new concept with carbon cantilever, due to harder material more agility and speed

Dynavector Te Kaitora Rua
- good ‘ol proven and nice sounding MC cart, has been around for a while but still great

Ortofon Winfield Ti (PW Ti)
- updated model, piggy-bagging on MC Anna technologies, Ortofon is always a safe and sound choice. Is it exciting enough?

Which interesting ones am I missing?

another interesting choice might be the vdH Colibri Stradivarious .38 KOA body. it's list price is up there, but direct from Europe it gets into that same price range.

I owned 7 vdH Colibri's back in the day, love-hated them in the best sense, and i'm told this one is special, by multiple people.

and I do really enjoy my Ortofon MC Anna.

I hear many raves about the new Kiseki cartridges, and their PurpleHeart N.S. in particular. Priced at US$3,500 (relatively reasonable by today's standard) it is felt by many to offer a rare balance of musicality and natural harmonic decay along with detail retrieval competitive with some of the best cost no object designs. Likely to be my next cartridge if I decide to upgrade from my Ortofon Cadenza Bronze.

I have owned the Te Kaitora Rua as well as the Transfiguration Proteus. The Proteus is light years ahead in resolution and frequency extension. If you want a smooth sound then the Te Kaitora Rua might be the better match with magico etc.. Both are pretty low output but I never needed a SUT with my Soulution or Boulder phono stages. I haven't heard the others but the Proteus was my favorite cartridge prior to the Kondo IO-M which is basically the best of both worlds.

Would you see a risk of the Proteus sounding too bright with a Magico based system?
