I like it.......a little 'big in the hips' perhaps but Zora would be proud !

Looks slick, literally. Bet the wind tunnel tests reveal a very low drag coefficient. I think at least two model years will pass before the new design kinks are worked out. By year three the mid engine Corvette should be worth its price.

I’ve noticed the Corvette designs have been becoming increasingly Ferrari-like in recent years. It seemed like it was just a matter of time before they went with the mid-engine. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

The American spirit looks to be dead. I was hoping the Corvette would never lose that aspect of its design.

I'v e been thinking about pricing for this new C8 could be starting around the upper $90k . for 2018 the Z06 will start at $80,590 not counting trim, wheels and performance, brake, paint, upgrades. I see if the C8 plans to match the 2018 Z06 its going to be around $97k and up. to low $100k

to me........I expect the mid-engine C8 pricing to start where the C7 ZR1 leaves off. Optioned out I'm thinking 150k + or - 10%

I guess all the 60 year old grey haired grandpas are drooling over this one

Chris, I'm 64, very little grey hair, two grandchildren, as for the 'drooling' ......... it's more like eager anticipation !

????? what aspect is that ???

In the design. All I see when I look at it is Ferrari. There are still some aspects that pay tribute to the Corvette, but its slim IMO. American muscle and sports cars always had a 'look' to them. To me, it is completely gone in this design.

This isn't to say I don't think its a pretty car and will be a great version, but something is lost in this design. I hope it pays better tribute to the history of the Corvette as it gets closer to production version.

I got ya by one year. In my little neck of the woods, the grandpas with cash are driving Tesla's, Jags, Bentleys of all types, Porsche's and Ferraris and one McLaren 650S. The C8 should get a lot of attention and like you, a few with eager anticipation. I can't wait to see one.

Yeah, I hear 'ya, it started with the front end on the C7's. Regardless, as a owner of the brand going back to the second generation I have no problem with 'recognition' !

I hope it pays better tribute to the history of the Corvette as it gets closer to production version.

will a return to round taillights make you happy ? !!
