MHDT Labs Pagoda DAC?

It uses one of the NOS dac chips for a more classic sound.

Same chipset as in my Aqua La Voce S2 and oddly enough an old Classe' built like a tank CD player I pulled out of the box a couple of weeks ago to use for some gear and wire break-in. Bought it in 1998 and it weighs over 20 lbs. Still sounds really good.

That’s pretty cool. I’m sure those pieces sound great too.

I don’t need anything but find myself looking at dacs. I guess I’m just getting an itch. I can wait until the right one comes along. I’ll keep looking for now.

Better to get the itch in that price range instead of the ones usually talked about lately. I've talked to Mark Sossa, the US Distributor, about sending my Agua back to Italy for the upgrade in the next couple of weeks.

Joe

I think you might like the Aqua Dacs. You might want to contact Charles Rollo through AC as he is a home based dealer and local to you. He claims to allow home demos.

If Mark just happens to have a stray La Voce S2 still around somewhere with the BB 1704 chips that might be right up your alley. That's what mine shipped with but the upgrade will replace that board with an FPGA based board allowing for upgrades like the DS.
