Memorial Day - United States

I visited the Medal of Honor Museum in Dallas on Friday - a very special place and highly recommended! The museum was opened in 2025. A magnificent building with the history of the medal (created in the 1860’s) and many displays of the men and women that have gone beyond what would have been expected to serve; very emotional tribute.

My father in law was a Medic in WW2 and got a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

"All gave some, some gave all"

while running errands yesterday I stopped into Chick-fil-A for a quick bite, it was around 1pm, I noticed the flag was still @ half-staff. I said something to the young lad at the counter, he was kind but had no clue what I was talking about. The Manager overheard us, came up to me and apologized for not raising to full staff @ noon. Apology not needed but the respectfulness of Chik-fil-A employees is tops in the fast food world IMO
