Two weeks ago my dealer offered me to try the Melco S100 in my own system, wow what a gamechanger for streaming , soundstage has grown in all directions, sound is much "cleaner" , extra energy in the low frequencies, darker background and overall just more musicall, transients were a little softer at first, but after two weeks it feels close to being as before. I am not fully commiting to it yet, but it seems that streaming is now more enjoyable then playing a CD.
I did not want to pay 2K for a switch, but this device is not leaving my system anymore, the bill is paid already
It is replacing an AQVox switch, I have tried them in series, but preffering just the Melco alone.
For now I am using the standard medical grade SMPS, will see in the future if a sbooster or farad super 3 powersupply improves the result.
