I’m guessing it will beat my $600 refurb Integra! LOL
Wonder how it compares to the Bryston SP4?

This has been many years back, I compared a Mac processor to an Anthem, the Mac had their house sound, I preferred the Anthem for HT. Action movies need that impact and leading edge. IMO Circumstance had me actually end up with a Primare.
Me too. I ended up with Anthem then. Today, I would not look at Anthem at all.
The one to beat in that price range is Trinnov. Trinnov’s technology is tops!
Wow Mike, congrats!
I think you're going to like what you'll hear... :congrats:
Well, that's definitely not the "budget" route for an SSP, but I doubt you'll have buyer's remorse. Which speakers are you going to run it with? We love our Oppo 205, by the way. Still isn't much new on the market that comes close. So long as they keep updating firmware, I don't have much reason to look elsewhere.
Ah. I forgot your theater was in the upstairs room with the MBLs. That should make for a potent setup. You'll have to let us know how those MBLs do paired with the Diamond center. Can't get too much different in transducer technology than those two.
And I should have known that the new Trinnov meant you picked up the line. If only they were closer to the 10k price point I might be in the market. For my new theater my budget leaves me stuck in the no-mans-land that is the new crop of 16 channel pre-pros in the 4-8k range, all of which are having major teething pains. Makes me very hesitant to commit to a purchase. But I want one of the top tier bass management packages so I don't have too many other choices without a major change in cost.

My thought pattern is these processors change so rapidly it hard to justify spending a lot. I'm satisfied with 13 channels but more importantly I did not want to get into the game of flipping a processor at that level every 18 months or so, as new video technology comes on board. To a degree the same applies to projector.
I have not put any real time into A B ing a Trinnov. My new project yeehaw.
