McIntosh MC303 - I got one beast of an amp ....

I found a sweet MC303. Part of an estate sale. Very clean. Looks brand new except for a few tiny/minor marks on the back handrail. It's a 3 channel amp @ 300 wpc but can peak to 1200 wpc. I am only using it for 2 channel duty so I figure there's a little extra reserve. I have to say that I am tickled pink. Love this thing. Weighs approx. 155 lbs and there's no way I can move it alone, even with 2 people it's a bear. I've had it running since Friday and I am absolutely convinced now that I made a great choice. Maybe I'll top it off with a C1100 :scholar: Oh my.

I have not tried on the JBL's yet but it's superb on the Studio2. A little more break in time and the Strads are next, then the 4367's.

Love this amp. Unbelievable sense of power and finesse.
 
Thank you Paul. I was pretty much set on the MC452. I love that amp too. The MC303 drew me in and the deal all conspired to be a no brainer. Maybe a C1100 to feed it will be a lifelong pairing. :)

I bet the C2500 would be great too, how do you like yours?

I think I would look at the C22 as you don't need the digital parts and it keeps you away from their firmware upgrade issues.
 
I'm definitely thinking about giving the C22 a try. That with the MC303 could be a great combo.
