McIntosh 2152 - green and blue ligtning of tubes stopped working

Hello Team:

Did anyone experience same problem ?

Neither position blue nor green works (fromt small 8 tubes) - sound is OK.

I found out what is the problem - trigger cables ! If you do not use them - all works OK. I found this out when I bought MPC-1500 - if it was connected with trigger cables - the Amp and Volt meter did not illuminate ! Without cables all works OK,...

Cables need to be stereo 1/8” or you get no meter illumination. The ‘ring’ terminal is used for meter illumination, tip for power control.

If you are using stereo 1/8” cable then I don’t know what’s going on.

I used even original McIntosh trigger cable,... Did not work,.... Also - on my 2152, if I use trigger cables, decorative green/blue lights in small tubes do not work,...
So - McIntosh problem,...

I get the same on my 2 MC275s with a trigger cable from a C2300 then then another between the 2 amps. I rectified it by playing around with the insertion of the trigger cables at the amp. Very slightly pulling them out did the trick for me.
