Can someone please check this website called HiFi Sell n Buy:Hifi Sell& Buy Seems too good to be true, but they take paypal which they'll refund for any fraud. Thanks.
 
It would probably divert to you a dummy Pay Pal site and then steal all the money out of your bank account. You can't buy a C2300 for twice that price.
 
It has been around for years. I'd be afraid to take a chance.
 
Since this place is in Seattle, WA, I'm going to ask my friend from Seattle to visit the place just to see if it's really legit.
 
Looks very questionable. Easy enough to call them. Ask for the unit's serial # and then call McIntosh and ask them to check up the serial # and see if it's legit. If these are indeed real units, then they are used units obviously but no where on their site does it mention new or used, so when you call you can ask them for the history of the unit and if it's in working condition, etc... Your friend checking them physically will be another data point. And finally check them out on the BBB and see if they have had any complaints which I am sure they probably have had. Just looks too iffy to be legit.
 
Cyrill, I actually tried calling them a few times but the number is no longer in service. However my cousin and the store have been exchanging emails. I did sent them an email earlier today so let's see if they will respond to my email.
 
The site is a complete scam. Do not touch it as you will lose your money. Similar site with same layout was in Australia with Aussie address that was bs.

If the price look to be too good to be true, it is.
 
yes i caught them awhile ago using pics from one of mikes items on audiogon.actually it might have been both his amps and his preamp. i asked him about it and he confirmed they were his pics, of arc ref 250s they were selling for $2500 on that website. lmao!!!
do not buy anything there.
 
That's really good to know Steve. Thank you very much. I did however Google map the address and it shows a residential home in a not so good area according to what I saw around the neighborhood.
