Hi guys,
I just discovered this place and hope I can find some answers to my question.
I'm using Dali Epicon 6 for music playback. Now I've got an irresistible offer of Marantz 11 Series that I don't want to ignore.
Either I can buy NA-11S1, SA-11S3 and PM-11S3 together, or I can buy NA-11S1 and 2xPM-11S3 for bi-amp.
I was thinking about the first package. Although I'd love to spin a disc in my CD player, I've archived all my CDs / SACDs (via PS3) in my PC. So basically SA-11S3 will hardly be used (I have UD7007 that can feed CDs to NA-11S1 if needed) unless the CD/SACD playback from SA-11S3 is in fact superior to that from NA-11S1 with USB/Ethernet.
That's why I started to like the second package. But I'm not familiar with bi-amp settings. I know my Dali Epicon 6 supports active crossover and PM-11S3 can be used for bi-amp. But I'm not sure about the benefit gained from bi-amp in my case. Will the improvement be substantial?
If bi-amp is not going to make a big difference then there is a third choice for me: buy PM-11S3 with either NA-11S1 or SA-11S3 at a higher price per unit (the difference would be 100 euro more for each unit and I'm thinking about PM-11S3 + NA-11S1).
So I need some advice to make my decision. Thanks.
