Thank you, Mark Jones, who spent the whole day arranging delivery, meeting the truck, and installing!

The upgrade in sound quality is so profound in my room that adjectives are pointless. Everybody will hear them at AXPONA. Let me just say that I am very, very happy.

Wow! I love the color! :) Congratulations. Great choice. They are really dynamic with great bass. And they look like the perfect size for your room.

Wow nice !

How do you move them out of the crates ? Do they come on casters as well ?

No Casters and no ramp effect when opened. We had to lift them up and carefully set them outside the crate on a blanket. Those used to the convenience of S5 packaging will be disappointed because there is no obvious way to remove them properly. They are light enough, however, that it was not a Herculean task for two "fit and fifty" males with audiophile physiques.

They had to save on something. Better casters than the drivers !

IMO it would be best to just dismanthe the whole crate, leaving just the platform. Then it should be easy from there, and very safe.

That's what you do. You remove one side and then the bottom bolts and the remaining three sides lifts off.

With the M3s that is not nesessary - they just roll out. Very convinient I must say. But it seems uncrating the S3s is not a big deal either.

Gotta say, I really like your system BayStBroker. Seems like a lot of thought went into your very good choices.

Very nice! Please remind me, what did you replace? Thanks!

I had the S1 Mk2, which I enjoyed greatly for the last year. The S3 makes such a grander sound stage. Yet it is not too much for my room. The bottom end is enhanced by a quantum leap, and that makes everything sound more convincing.

This was truly a very satisfying delivery. These new S3's just work perfectly in Mark's room and they look beautiful to boot. I am so happy for him. Enjoy Mr Broker.

I see they've gone to one speaker per crate, it seems that crate is oversize for what's inside. Was there additional foam packing inside the crate that we don't see in that photo?
I understand going from S1Mk2 to S3Mk2, but the big question is, what is the upgrade path for S3 owners? I'm still contemplating what to do...if M1 is close that might be worth waiting for but the dealers are not divulging any information on M1, and I guess that's because they have no inside scoop of what's happening inside the Magico skunkworks.
I see the PS Audio gear in that final installation photo, is that BHK mono powering the speakers, or P10 powering something else that powers the speakers? Directstream DAC or memory player?

Not always. My S3 Mk II MCast models shipped in separate cardboard containers strapped together. This may have been at the behest of the dealer, who knew these needed to be carried up a flight of stairs.

Mike, slightly off topic, but where did you buy the plants for the front of the room?

My wife got them at the giant silk plant store in Bradenton (off Hwy 301).
