Just curious. Would my Qsub benefit using MPods?
Tan - it's funny you bring this up. I asked this question yesterday. Magico indicated that they had not yet tried the MPOD's under the QSubs. I'm curious about it myself.
The opposing subs might cancel most of vibrations but this is the sport of margins.

From Magico: "The MPOD will thread directly into the QSUB15 and of course isolate the QSUB from the floor and vice a versa."

Nice, now who is going to try it first and report if it is a sonic upgrade....![]()
I really think Magico should adapt the MPods for the S5 & S3 Mk2. Why leave owners to use either MPods which are not properly optimized for size or weight, or Stillpoints which Magico strongly recommend against using? It doesn't make sense! :doubtful:
Howard, I don't think Magico would need to design a special 3 point outrigger to enable MPods to be adapted to the S3 & S5 Mk2 since they already have integrated outriggers. Also I know of several MPro and S7 owners who either have fitted, or are in the process of ordering a set of 4 MPods to the existing threads which is fine as they're a perfect match for size & a closer match re: weight. Yes, atleast as far as the M3's is concerned, obviously Alon thought a 3-point outrigger using the current MPods worked best, but the MPods could work well with the S3/S5 Mk2 using the existing threads if adapted optimally for size and weight. My point is, if Magico are so effusive about not using Stillpoints supports with those speakers, why not offer a better alternative?
Hence my suggestion to adapt the MPods per the size and weight requirements of the S3/S5 Mk2's in a 4-foot configuration using the existing mounting points. The larger Magico speakers have really big feet - below the S7/MPro sized speakers the feet are much smaller and to my eye wouldn't accommodate the MPODs.

Howard, if Magico release SPods tomorrow @$8k, my order will be placed by dinner time! :yahoo1:
