A lot of people may know this, many may not..but the question is "Did you know that the Mr. Clean Magic eraser is one of the best and safest stylus cleaners out there ?"

It is. The original square pads are the most awesome non-damaging stylus cleaners around. No rubbing, no liquids. Just cut a small square that is easy to use (2" by 2") and you lower the stylus onto the pad a few times (straight up and down). It sort of a gentle pin into a pincushion. No residue , no rubbing .

If you just dip it into the pad 3 or 4 times, you are done. Proof ? Try it and look under a magnifier. DO NOT WET ...

How it works
HowStuffWorks "Melamine Foam"

So did you know about this?

Are you using this today?

If not, will you try it ?

Thanks

Great idea...I am going to add that..mine sits in a little circular plastic cup so that I can just lower it a few times using the cuing (I have it at platter height) but your coin weight would keep in steady for me...THANKS !

Are you certain there are not any corrosive chemicals that can damage the stylus?

Yup...no chemicals...it operates like a very tight sponge but the material is hard as glass (check my link) so it cleans with no damage and NO residue. Just to be safe, in case there is loose stuff from the stylus itself, I use a photography puffer (you know, the squeeze bulb with little hairs brush on the end) and puff a few times to blow anything off...works awesome..

I use this method for my stylus but it won't clean the bottom of my Talisman V2 cartridge which get some static electicity and accumulates dust.
